Dominion Over...

The survival of the human species depends on the health of the planetary ecosystem. An ecosystem is made up of communities of plants, animals and other organisms in an area that interact with each other and their surrounding environment. Living and non-living things are part of an ecosystem.

Humanity has been the cancer of our planetary ecosytem. We don't contribute, we only subtract, pillage, and destroy. Far too many people believe in the nonsensical scripture (KJV), Genesis 1:26, "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth."

Dictionary.com defines 'dominion' as: sovereignty; control. Used in a sentence, the word is relevant today:

"Man's attempt to establish dominion over nature has landed the human species and our planet in the horrific global quagmire that will ultimately lead to self-destruction."

Just to get a better understanding of the deleterious nature of the word 'dominion', here are related synonyms: supremacy, ascendancy, dominance, domination, superiority, predominance, preeminence, hegemony, authority, mastery, control, command, power, sway, rule, government, jurisdiction, sovereignty, suzerainty.

The latter term is an interesting word, pronounced, soo-zuh-rin-tee, which means, "the position or authority of a suzerain; a feudal overlord." In other words, an evil despot exercising authority that really does not exist (aka Central Banks, U.S. Federal Reserve, Rothschilds, Rockefellers, and the International Banking Cabal). In the context of this article, the word relates to circumventing nature while denying universal, unalienable rights.

Let's break down the planetary ecosystem, the elements and their importance to our global community.

Animals

Animals help the environment in a variety of ways. Most flowering plants depend on insects like bees or butterflies, or vertebrates like hummingbirds and certain bats, for pollination and producing seeds. Animals that eat fruit often spread seeds long distances, so that plants can extend their range. The dung of grass eating animals is rich in nutrients that help plants grow. Animals, like corals, create an essential habitat for countless organisms.

Fish

  • Researchers at the University of Georgia and Florida International University, have determined that fish contribute more nutrients to their local ecosystems than any other source; enough to cause changes in the growth rates of the organisms at the base of the food web.

  • Through excretion, fish recycle the nutrients they take in, providing the fertilizer sea grass and algae need to grow.

Plants, Trees, and Animals interact with each other in the environment. They also interact with the environment itself. Plants and animals depend on each other.

  • Animals are used by some plants to disperse seeds.

  • Some animals can eat other plant-eating animals.

  • Bees and other insects help pollinate flowers.

  • Earthworms aerate the soil so that the roots of plants can better obtain oxygen.

  • Plants and Air: Oxygen is brought to you by plants, as a byproduct of photosynthesis.

  • Plants and the Climate: Plants store carbon, and have helped keep much of the carbon dioxide produced from the burning of fossil fuels out of the atmosphere.

  • Plants and Food: Everything we eat comes directly or indirectly from plants. Throughout human history, at minimum, 7,000 different plant species have been used as food by people.

  • Plants and Habitat: Plants make up the backbone of all habitats. Other species of fish and wildlife also depend on plants for food and shelter.

  • Plants and Health: One-quarter of all prescription drugs come directly from or are derivatives of plants. Additionally, four out of five people around the world today rely on plants for primary health care.

  • Plants and Water: Plants regulate the water cycle and help distribute and purify the planet's water. They also help move water from the soil to the atmosphere through a process called transpiration.
Man
  • Fishing for sport disrupts food webs by targeting specific, in-demand species. There might be too much fishing of prey species such as sardines and anchovies, thus reducing the food supply for the predators.

  • Overfishing has led to the breakdown of some sea ecosystems and several fishing industries whose catch has been greatly diminished.

  • Hunting for sport not only causes immense suffering to wild animals, it is "gratuitously cruel because unlike natural predation hunters kill for pleasure. Hunting for sport also results in the "loss of biological diversity, genetic integrity and ecological balance."

  • This unnecessary, violent form of 'entertainment' rips animal families apart and leaves countless animals orphaned or badly injured when hunters miss their targets.

  • Hunting also disrupts migration and hibernation patterns and destroys families. For animals such as wolves and geese, who mate for life and live in close-knit family units, hunting can devastate entire communities.

PETA - People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals

"Animals are not ours to eat, wear, experiment on, use for entertainment, or abuse in any other way."

"Hunting is often called a sport as a way to pass off a cruel, needless killing spree as a socially acceptable, wholesome activity. However, sports involve competition between two consenting parties and the mediation of a referee. And no sport ends with the deliberate death of one unwilling participant."

"Contrary to what hunters often say in defense of their cruel pastime, hunting has nothing to do with “conservation” or “population control.” In fact, animals are often specially bred and raised for hunters to kill. If left unaltered by humans, the delicate balance of nature’s ecosystems ensures the survival of most species. Natural predators help maintain this balance by killing only the sickest and weakest individuals."

Here are other ways in which Man adversely affects the planetary ecosystem.

  • Deforestation: Humans have always cut down trees throughout history. However, they now have the resources of multimillion-dollar equipment that drastically increases the rate of tree removal. The world’s rainforests are being destroyed at a rate of 78 million acres per year, resulting in vegetation degradation, nutrient imbalance, flooding and animal displacement. Trees also act as a natural air filter in the carbon cycle by taking in carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen, so deforestation contributes to global warming. Some estimates indicate that canopy forest species will be reduced by 35 percent by 2040 if deforestation continues at the same rate.

  • Pollution: Vehicles, trains and planes emit toxic gases that include carcinogenic particles and irritants, creating air pollution. Humans have also dumped large amounts of pesticides, such as organophosphates, onto crops that migrate into groundwater and bodies of water, poisoning ecosystems. Plants and animals die from exposure to pollutants such as excess nutrients from chemical fertilizers and other harmful chemicals. Pollution is increasing around the world and results in loss of biodiversity causing severe damage to self-sustaining ecosystems.

  • Land Conversion: Through urban development, the continued rapid construction of road systems and buildings has changed the Earth's natural surface, removing soil nutrients, surface vegetation and trees that filter the air and equalize the carbon cycle. Urbanization also displaces animals and increases environmental pollution from vehicles and factories.

As clearly demonstrated above, Man has clearly taken away from Nature, Man has hindered Nature, to the point of where we are today: IMPLOSION. We're on the verge of destroying our planet, primarily because of the avarice of a few who control the money. These narcissistic, malevolent, extremely arrogant men, have set themselves up on so high an immoral pedestal, they are willing to take the planet down with them. These financial suzerain's are under the false notion that eliminating 98 percent of the 'lower class' population will create a "perfect race." How foolish can they be? They would be like a small school of fish with no supportive systems around them because it has been destroyed.

One of the greatest thinkers of our time, Albert Einstein, stated, "I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones."
